O’Brian Hall, the home of the University at Buffalo Law School, is showing signs of age. The roof has been leaking for several years, and it’s finally time to replace the roof This is going to be a massive project, as it includes not just removing and reconstructing the seventh floor roof, but also the fifth floor atrium, the third floor patio outside the administrative offices, and the second floor patio outside the Law Library reading room. The seventh floor has been vacated and faculty and staff have moved to other offices and makeshift space within O’Brian. The first two floors of the Law Library will be filled with scaffolding. It will be noisy, and entry to the building will shift as the project progresses.
The adventure begins!
